Product Detail

The iconic fire starter that made Überleben famous. Just like fire itself, there's an irresistible charm in natural wood.

  • The 3/8' diameter ferrocerium rod can withstand up to 15,000 strikes, ensuring long - lasting use.
  • Generate molten spark showers at 5,500ºF (3,000ºC), enabling you to start a fire in any weather condition, even when it's wet, and at any altitude, thanks to our Sånft - korr™ ferro.
  • The premium 100% hardwood handle is skillfully handmade, offering a natural textured grip for better control.
  • Comes with a ferro rod, a 6 - function multi - tool scraper, and a mil - spec 550 paracord lanyard for added convenience.
  • Length: 4.5'
  • Weight: 2.5 oz.

Using this fire starter is easy. First, take out the multi - tool scraper. Hold the fire starter firmly by the hardwood handle and scrape the ferrocerium rod with the scraper. The sparks will fly and you can use them to ignite your tinder. You can use it in all kinds of weather, but make sure your tinder is dry or prepared to catch the sparks. When it comes to maintenance, keep the ferro rod dry. If it gets wet, dry it thoroughly before using it again. Also, avoid dropping the fire starter as it may damage the ferro rod or the handle. Store it in a cool, dry place when not in use, and your fire starter will serve you well for a long time.
