Product Detail

The Petzl Dual Canyon Guide Lanyard is an adjustable double lanyard crafted specifically for canyoning. Ideal for expert users and guides, it offers easy operation and excellent functionality. This lanyard attaches directly to the pin of the gated attachment point on the CANYON GUIDE harness, minimizing bulk. With the ergonomic ADJUST rope adjuster, you can quickly and simply select the length of the adjustable arm with one hand. The plastic sheaths keep the carabiners in place and protect the stitching from wear. It's easy to use, allowing you to attach directly to the harness for reduced bulk. The adjustable arm can be lengthened or shortened effortlessly. The connectors stay in position for easier clipping. It's versatile, suitable for belaying with precise length selection and progressing on a lifeline with continuous protection. It's also durable, with plastic sheaths at the arm ends and individual identification markings. This dynamic rope lanyard reduces the force on the user during a short fall. Material(s): nylon rope, thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) sheaths, aluminum ADJUST rope adjuster, thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) TANGA ring. Fixed arm length: 65 cm. Adjustable arm length: 15 to 80 cm. Weight: 175 g. Certification(s): CE, UIAA 109.

Using this lanyard is a breeze. First, attach it directly to the pin of the gated attachment point on your CANYON GUIDE harness. When you need to adjust the length of the adjustable arm, just use the ADJUST rope adjuster with one hand. It's quick and easy. When belaying, you can precisely select the length of the adjustable arm for the best position. When moving on a lifeline, the fixed and adjustable arms are the same length to keep you protected. Remember, this lanyard doesn't have an energy absorber, so only use it when the potential fall factor is less than 1. To keep it in good shape, regularly check the plastic sheaths for any signs of abrasion. If you see any issues, it might be time to replace the lanyard. And since there are individual identification markings on the plastic sheath, you can track the equipment's lifespan easily.
