Product Detail

The Petzl Sirocco is an ultra-lightweight helmet crafted for climbers and mountaineers. It masterfully combines reduced weight with robust protection. Its head-covering design, lower at the back, ensures enhanced safety across the whole head. With optimized head volume and outstanding ventilation, it offers maximum comfort during your adventures. Ultra-light Design: Weighing only 160 - 170 g, it features a hybrid construction. The shell is made of EPP (expanded polypropylene) foam, while the rigid crown is injected with EPS (expanded polystyrene) foam. Optimal Protection: It comes with Petzl's TOP AND SIDE PROTECTION label. The head-covering shape, lower in the rear, safeguards against lateral, front, and rear impacts. Maximum Comfort: Large holes provide excellent ventilation. It's fully adjustable via the headband and chinstrap. The magnetic buckle (Petzl patent) makes fastening the chinstrap a breeze. There are two hooks and a rear elastic for attaching a headlamp, and it's compatible with the VIZION eye shield. Specifications: Materials include an expanded polypropylene (EPP) foam shell, polycarbonate crown, expanded polystyrene (EPS) liner, and polyester webbing. It's certified to CE EN 12492 and UIAA standards. The product comes with a protective storage bag and spare foam. Sizes and Weights: Available in S/M (48 - 58 cm head circumference, 160 g) and M/L (53 - 61 cm head circumference, 170 g).

Using the Petzl Sirocco helmet is straightforward. First, adjust the headband and chinstrap to fit your head comfortably. The magnetic buckle on the chinstrap makes it easy to fasten and unfasten. If you're using a headlamp, you can attach it to the two hooks or the rear elastic. You can also use the VIZION eye shield if needed. When it comes to safety, always make sure the helmet is properly adjusted before starting your climb or hike. Check for any signs of damage, like cracks or dents, regularly. If you notice any issues, stop using the helmet and replace it. To keep your helmet in good condition, store it in the protective storage bag when not in use. Clean it with a mild soap and water solution. Avoid using harsh chemicals as they can damage the materials. Also, don't expose the helmet to extreme heat or direct sunlight for long periods, as this can affect its performance.
