Product Detail

Embark on wild escapades with this ultra-light and versatile tarp shelter, perfect for minimalist adventurers. The Escapist is crafted from seam-sealed waterproof 15D Ultra-Sil® Nano fabric, a 15 Denier Sil/PU coated Nylon rated at 1,200mm waterhead. It features eight Hypalon® tie-out points, each capable of holding a trekking pole tip. These points come with pre-attached cord adjusters and reflective guy lines, offering a wide range of setup options and easy attachment to the separately available Escapist Mesh Inners. The Large Escapist, weighing 12.3 oz / 350g, can comfortably accommodate two when set up as an A-frame. It also serves well as a tent awning or sun shelter. The Medium Escapist, weighing 9.5 oz / 270g, can protect two sleepers from rain when set up close to the ground as an A-frame. This tarp is made from 15 Denier Sil/PU coated 1,200mm waterhead rated Nylon, has eight Hypalon and bar-tack reinforced tie-out points, is extremely lightweight and compact, has reinforced corners with cord locks and guy lines, and allows a trekking pole to be placed through the circular bar-tack.

Using the Escapist tarp is easy. First, choose a suitable spot for your setup, whether it's for sleeping or just as a sun shelter. For an A-frame setup, use the eight Hypalon tie-out points and attach the trekking poles. Adjust the cord adjusters on the tie-out points to get the right tension. If you have the separately available Escapist Mesh Inners, you can easily attach them to the tarp. When it comes to maintenance, after each use, make sure to dry the tarp thoroughly to prevent mold and mildew. If it gets dirty, you can gently wash it with mild soap and water. Store it in a cool, dry place. Be careful not to over-tighten the cords or guy lines to avoid damage. Also, when using the trekking poles, make sure they are properly inserted through the circular bar-tack.
