Scout 1
The Scout 1 is an incredibly versatile 3-season tent, perfect for one or two people, whether you're touring or backpacking. It's a real all-rounder for your outdoor adventures!
UV-Resistant Polyester Tent Fly
If you're camping in sunny spots often or leaving your tent pitched for a long time, the Scout 1 is a great choice. Its polyester tent fly has excellent UV resistance, which significantly extends its lifespan.
Compact, Lightweight, and Spacious
With a packed size of 48 cm long and 16 cm in diameter, the Scout 1 is easy to carry. But don't be fooled by its compactness - it offers generous internal space, ensuring comfort even during extended stays.
Super Easy to Set Up
Like all Domex tents, the Scout 1 features a hub frame design. This makes it a breeze for one person to set up quickly. And because it's free-standing, you can easily move it around on different terrains before pegging it down.
Quick to Dismantle and Pack
Whether you're staying in one place for a few days or constantly on the move, the Scout 1 is the ideal tent. It's incredibly fast and easy to take down and pack up.
Packed with Great Features
The Scout 1 comes loaded with features. It has a durable polyester oxford tent floor, air vents to increase airflow and reduce condensation, and generous vestibule space for storing your gear. There are also two storage pockets, a lantern hook, and a mesh inner tent to keep insects out while improving airflow. With its multi - use and low price, it offers amazing value for money.
Benefits of Using a Footprint
We highly recommend using the matching footprint (an optional accessory). It protects your tent floor and makes packing up a lot easier and quicker. Any mud or debris will be on the footprint, so you just need to quickly wipe the condensation from the tent floor before rolling it up.
- Easy Set - Up: The hub - dome design with interconnected pole sections allows one person to set up the tent quickly and easily.
- Free - Standing Design: It gives you flexibility on various terrains, like those with vegetation, uneven ground, or rocks. You can easily shift the tent before pegging it down.
- Colour - Coded Features: The colour - coded webbing and pole tips ensure you match the poles, inner tent, and tent fly correctly during setup.
- Easy Identification: Fluro webbing, zip toggles on the inner tent, and luminous flecks on the outside zip, guylines, and peg loops make it easy to find things in low - light conditions.
- UV - Resistant Tent Fly: Although not as tough as ripstop nylon, the extra UV protection increases the tent fly's lifespan. The air vents can be easily closed if needed.
- Mesh Inner Tent: It increases airflow and keeps sandflies, mosquitos, and other insects out.
- Two Vestibules: They provide plenty of storage space outside the inner tent, extra weather protection, and better airflow.
- Inner Tent Storage: There are two large wall pockets and a hanging lantern hook.
- Optional Footprint: It protects the tent floor and makes packing up cleaner and faster.

Using the Domex Scout 1 tent is a piece of cake. First, find a suitable spot for your tent. Thanks to its free - standing design, you can place it on various terrains like rocky, uneven, or vegetated areas. Unpack the tent and connect the poles using the bungee - cord - interconnected sections. The colour - coded webbing and pole tips will help you match everything correctly. Then, set up the inner tent and attach the tent fly. Use the attached guy lines and the 9 included aluminium alloy pegs to secure the tent. If you have the optional footprint, lay it down before setting up the tent to protect the tent floor. When it's time to pack up, start by removing the pegs and guy lines. Take down the tent fly and inner tent, and carefully pack the poles. The footprint makes this process a lot cleaner as any mud or debris will be on it. Just give the tent floor a quick wipe to remove condensation. For maintenance, after each use, make sure the tent is completely dry before packing it away. This helps prevent mould and mildew. If a pole gets damaged, you can use the supplied pole repair tube for a temporary fix. Also, clean the tent regularly with a mild soap and water to keep it in good condition. And remember, the UV - resistant tent fly will last longer if you use it in sunny conditions, but make sure to close the air vents if needed to control airflow and condensation.
