Product Detail

The Petzl Lynx is a modular crampon designed for ice and mixed climbing, featuring LEVERLOCK UNIVERSEL bindings. With interchangeable front points, these crampons are versatile for various activities, from snow couloirs to dry tooling. You can easily modify the configuration and length of the front points with just one screw. Options include a long mono - point for dry tooling, a long dual - point for gullies, an asymmetrical dual - point for mixed climbing, and a short dual - point for ice climbing. The LEVERLOCK UNIVERSEL bindings are compatible with all hiking and mountaineering boots that have rear welts. The FIL or FLEX components make them adaptable to all types of boot toes, whether with or without welts. An ANTISNOW system comes with the crampons, which helps limit snow buildup in any snow conditions. The crampons also come with a FAKIR storage pouch. Specifications: It has 14 points. It fits boot sizes from 35 to 45 with the included M linking bar, and an optional L linking bar fits sizes 40 to 50. It is certified by CE and UIAA. The weight is 1000 g (with ANTISNOW). It uses a multi - mount system LEVERLOCK UNIVERSEL.

Using the Petzl Lynx crampons is straightforward. First, choose the appropriate front points based on your climbing activity. If you're going for dry tooling, use the long mono - point. For gullies, the long dual - point is a good choice. When doing mixed climbing, pick the asymmetrical dual - point, and for ice climbing, the short dual - point is ideal. To attach the crampons to your boots, use the LEVERLOCK UNIVERSEL bindings. Make sure your boots are suitable; they should have rear welts, and the FIL or FLEX components can adjust to different boot toe types. Before using, check that the anti - snow system is properly installed to prevent snow buildup. When it comes to maintenance, after each use, clean the crampons with fresh water to remove dirt and salt. Let them dry thoroughly before storing them in the provided FAKIR pouch. Periodically check the screws and components for any signs of wear or damage. If you notice any issues, replace the parts as needed. Remember to follow all safety guidelines and regulations when using these crampons for climbing.
