Product Detail

The Rock Exotica RockO carbiner combines the best of the traditional oval and the rockD, offering greater strength than a standard oval. It's an excellent choice for climbers who need extra space at the bottom of the carbiner while keeping their gear well - aligned. Features include an 'Enhanced' oval shape that maximizes strength while retaining the practicality of the oval design. It has a unique 3 - stage 'auto lock' system. The carbiner is designed to center gear and ropes in the middle of the bend radius. With a flattened frame, a slim profile, and a snag - resistant keylock nose design, it's both functional and user - friendly. The large, ergonomic angled gate opening, along with a machined frame, ensures tight tolerances and smooth operation. It's CE Certified to EN 12275, EN362, and UIAA121 and proudly made in the USA. Specifications: Major Axis 24 kN, Minor Axis 11 kN, Open Gate 6 kN, Gate Opening 22 mm, Barrel Style Auto, Length 111 mm, Width 64 mm, Weight 80 g, Certified EN12275, EN362.

Using the Rock Exotica RockO carbiner is straightforward. First, open the gate by pressing the appropriate part of the locking mechanism. Insert your gear or rope into the carbiner, making sure it sits in the middle as designed. Then, close the gate and ensure the auto - lock engages. When using it, always check that the lock is secure before putting any weight on the carbiner. Don't use it if the gate doesn't close properly or if there are any visible signs of damage. To maintain this carbiner, keep it clean. After use, simply wipe it down with a dry cloth. Avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals or extreme temperatures as this can affect its strength and functionality. If you notice any wear and tear, it's best to replace the carbiner to ensure your safety.
