The PRO RT slashes weight by over 130 grams while leveraging the optimized linkage design of the original ShockStop Suspension Seatpost.

What length should I choose, 350mm or 280mm?

350mm is our standard size, but we made the 280mm for a wider fit range. Measure your current seatpost from the clamp collar to the saddle rail. If it's less than 205mm, you can use the 280mm seatpost. Otherwise, get the 350mm size.

What kind of saddle bags can I use with the ShockStop Suspension Seatpost?

Most standard strap-based saddle bags work fine with the ShockStop Seatpost. If your bag uses rigid clips, clamps, or other inflexible attachments, it might not be compatible. Bags that attach only to the saddle or only to the post are okay. But if it attaches to both, you need to consider the movement between the saddle and the post. It might move a bit when you sit on the saddle and compress the post. It depends on the weight and stability of the bag. Test it with your specific bag to see how it goes. If your bag can be secured to just the post or to the post and a rear rack, you're good to go.

Is the stiffness adjustable?

The progressive spring rate uses a standard elastomer setup that suits all riders, so there's no need for adjustable preload.

If the distance from the clamp collar to the saddle rail on your current seatpost is less than 205mm, you can go for the 280mm size; otherwise, stick with the standard 350mm. Install the seatpost into your bike following the included hardware instructions. When it comes to saddle bags, most standard strap - based ones will work well. But if your bag uses rigid attachments or is attached to both the post and the saddle, test it to make sure it doesn't move too much when you sit on the saddle. As for maintenance, keep the seatpost clean. Wipe it down after each ride to remove dirt and debris. Check the elastomers regularly for any signs of wear.
