Product Detail

The Ass Savers BroTector Regular Rear Bicycle Mudguard is a game - changer for cyclists. It significantly cuts down rearwards spray, keeping your fellow cyclists and your trailer - riding kids clean. This mudguard is a true altruistic cycling component that can win you new commuting friends and invitations to winter group rides. It's incredibly versatile as it fits all standard rear mudguards, especially preferring metal ones like aluminum or steel. You can easily mount it using a zip - tie or screws. The mudguard is crafted from 80% recycled polypropylene, making it an eco - friendly choice and Peloton friendly. Measuring 86 mm x 380 mm and weighing just 21 grams, it's light yet effective. The center fold and the backwards 'smiley - fold' across the mudflap enhance its stability, protection, and resistance to ground - related damage. When it comes to fitting, drill two holes 25 mm apart along the mudguard's centerline at your desired height. The closer to the ground, the better the protection, but avoid the risk of getting it caught on uneven surfaces. You can thread the zip - tie from the outside or inside for a sleeker look. Optionally, you can use nuts and bolts with washers for a more permanent attachment (not included).

Using the Ass Savers BroTector Regular Rear Bicycle Mudguard is a breeze. First, decide where you want to mount it on your standard rear mudguard. It's best to choose a height that's close to the ground for maximum protection, but be careful not to let it touch curbs or uneven ground. You'll need to drill two holes in the mudguard. Make sure these holes are 25 mm apart and along the centerline. Use a sharp pin to mark the drilling spots so the drill doesn't wander. After drilling with a 5 mm drill, clean the sharp edges with a 10 mm drill by hand. Once the holes are ready, place the mudflap on the inside of the mudguard. Then, thread the zip - tie from the outside through the upper hole of the mudguard and mudflap, and back through the lower hole before closing it. Pull the mudflap tightly against the mudguard for a firm fit. If you have enough space between the tire and mudguard, threading the zip - tie from the inside will hide the zip - tie head for a neater look. As an alternative, you can use two nuts and bolts with washers to attach the mudflap more permanently, but these aren't included in the package. When it comes to maintenance, simply clean the mudguard with a mild soap and water after a dirty ride. Store it in a dry place when not in use to prevent any damage from moisture. Also, check the zip - tie or bolts regularly to make sure they're still tight and the mudflap is secure.
