Product Detail

The Ass Savers Reflective Special Edition Rear Mudguard Protector is a must - have for cyclists. Here's what makes it great: 1. **Reduced Rear Spray**: It significantly cuts down on the spray that goes towards the back, keeping your cycling companions or the child in the trailer behind you clean. 2. **Reflective Print**: This not only adds a cool look but also boosts safety during those dark winter rides. 3. **Universal Fit**: It fits all standard rear mudguards, especially curved full - shaped ones. Metal mudguards (aluminum or steel) are the best match as some plastic ones can be tricky to drill. 4. **Easy Mounting**: You can use a zip - tie or screws (nuts and bolts are an optional extra, not included). Just drill two holes 25 mm apart along the mudguard's centerline at your desired height. The closer to the ground, the better the protection, but be careful not to catch it on uneven ground. 5. **Eco - Friendly**: Made from 80% recycled polypropylene, it's good for the environment. Measuring 86 mm x 380 mm and weighing just 21 grams, it's lightweight and efficient. And like all Ass Savers products, pre - folding is important. The center fold makes it more stable, and the 'smiley - fold' across provides better protection and resistance to ground damage.

Using the Ass Savers Reflective Special Edition Rear Mudguard Protector is easy. First, decide on the height you want the mudguard protector to be. Remember, the closer it is to the ground, the better the protection, but make sure it won't get caught on curbs or uneven terrain. Next, drill two holes 25 mm apart along the centerline of your mudguard. Use a sharp pin tool to make a dent at the drilling spot to keep the drill from wandering, and use a 5 mm drill. After drilling, you can clean the sharp edges by carefully turning a 10 mm drill by hand. Then, place the mudguard protector on the inside of the mudguard. Thread the zip - tie from the outside through the upper hole of the mudguard and the protector, then back through the lower hole and close it. Pull the protector firmly against the mudguard for a tight fit. If you have enough space between the tire and the mudguard, threading the zip - tie from the inside will hide the zip - tie head for a sleeker look. You can also use nuts and bolts with washers as a more permanent option (not included). As for maintenance, keep it clean by washing it with mild soap and water. Check the mounting regularly to make sure it's still secure, especially after rough rides.
