Material: 1.0 mm PP (Polypropylene)
Front rail attachment
Since 2014, all Ass Savers attach only to the front saddle rails, in front of the seat post attachment. This setup means saddles are more consistent in this area, allowing for a better fit on a wider variety of saddles. Attaching to the front rails makes the Ass Saver self - centering. If you accidentally nudge it, it'll try to get back to the centered position. This is a key innovation in saddle mudguard technology and is protected under a pending patent No. SE PRV 1750201 - 4
FLIP - TIP™
Using origami - like principles, the patent - pending FLIP - TIP™ technology lets you easily secure the Ass Saver to the saddle with a simple flip of the tip, just like adjusting a cycling cap. To remove it, just flip the tip back and pull backwards. The FLIP - TIP® technology works great with all types of carbon saddle rails.
Saddle bag compatibility
The new Ass Saver is much easier to install with a saddle bag compared to older models. While we can't promise a perfect fit with every saddle bag, we've made great improvements with less interference.
Pre - folding
The trick to turning a flat piece of plastic into a useful product is pre - folding it before use. All the scoring lines are carefully designed for locking, self - centering, spring - loading, and material durability. Make sure to read the instructions or watch the instruction video for the best performance.

Using your Ass Savers Big Mudguard is a breeze. First, if you've got a saddle bag, don't worry! It's much easier to install this mudguard with a saddle bag than before. Just follow these steps: Start by pre - folding the mudguard along the scoring lines as shown in the instructions or video. This is important as it helps the mudguard work properly. Then, use the FLIP - TIP™ attachment system. It's super simple - just flip the tip to securely fasten the mudguard to the front saddle rails. Remember, this works well with all standard rail saddles, even those with carbon rails. And it's suitable for tires between 30 - 50 mm wide.
As for maintenance, since it's made of 1.0 mm PP (Polypropylene), it's pretty sturdy. But if it gets dirty after a ride on gravel or dirt roads, just wash it with mild soap and water.
A few things to keep in mind: Don't forget to check that the mudguard is centered after installation. If you accidentally bump it, it should self - center, but it's good to double - check. Also, while it's more compatible with saddle bags, make sure to test the fit before you head out on a long ride.
