Using your tent stake is easy! For standard installation, put the stake loop or guy line loop through the top hole and then slide it back over the top of the stake. Or, you can slide the stake through the loop until it catches on the notch. Then, use your hand, foot, or a hammer to firmly (but not too forcefully) push the stake into the ground. To take it out, just wiggle it with your hand as you pull upwards. For deadman installation, insert the stake loop or guy line loop through the center hole and form a T - shape. Dig a trench as long as the stake and as deep as you think is needed for a secure setup. Place the stake in the trench, bury it, and compact the soil, sand, or snow around it. Remember, different soil, sand, and snow conditions will affect how well it holds, so keep that in mind. Also, these stakes are great for use with tent cords up to 3mm. After each use, give them a quick clean to remove any dirt or debris. Store them in a dry place to prevent rusting and keep them in good condition for your next adventure.
