The DD Tarp XL is a huge 4.5m x 3m tarp. Similar to our other tarps, it has 16 reinforced side attachment points and 3 centre (ridge) line attachment points. With a total of 19 attachment points, you can configure the tarp in countless different arrangements. Its large size makes it suitable for various purposes. It can cover two closely - placed hammocks, serve as a cover for a group shelter or workspace at a Scout or large camp, act as a big cover for a single hammock (ideal for long - term stays or those who prefer a larger shelter). You can even fold the ends to create an almost enclosed 'tent' around the hammock. It can also be used as an enclosed 'tent' for up to three ground - sleeping people, a groundsheet, or a cover for bikes, kayaks, etc. Made from 190T polyester with a 3,000mm PU coating and taped seams, it's completely waterproof, even in the most severe storms. Using the DD Tarp XL is easy. First, decide on the setup that suits your needs. If you're using it as a hammock cover, attach it to the hammock using the 19 attachment points. You can adjust the tarp to provide the right amount of shade and protection. For a group shelter, peg it down using the included pegs and guy lines at the attachment points. When using it as a groundsheet, simply lay it flat on the ground. To create an enclosed 'tent', fold the ends of the tarp as needed. A few things to keep in mind. When setting up the tarp, make sure the pegs are firmly in the ground to prevent it from being blown away by strong winds. Don't overload the attachment points as it may cause damage. For maintenance, after each use, shake off any dirt or debris. If it gets wet, dry it thoroughly before storing. Store it in the provided stuff sack in a cool, dry place to keep it in good condition for your next outdoor adventure.
