The DD Hammock Quilt is an excellent choice for adding insulation to your hammock when used with an Underblanket. Unlike a traditional sleeping bag, it's a breeze to use in a hammock. You won't have to struggle to get into a sleeping bag once you're in the hammock, which can be quite a hassle as many campers know! If you prefer a full sleeping bag, we also offer the 'hammock - friendly' Jura 2. The design of this quilt has some great features. At the foot end, there are press studs running from the bottom up to around your knees and a draw - cord at the very bottom. This setup lets you easily slide your feet in, and the quilt will stay in place throughout the night. The neck end is wider to fit around your torso and has a couple of press studs. These help the quilt fit snugly around your neck and keep it in place as you move at night. There's also a draw - cord at the neck to close the air gap and keep warm air inside. Using the quilt is super simple. First, close the press studs at the top and bottom and pull the draw - cord tight at the bottom. Put your head through the wider hole at the top so the quilt sits around your neck. Then, sit in your hammock, swing your feet in, and tuck them into the foot end of the quilt. Lie back and get ready for a great night's sleep! The DD Quilt, when used with the DD Underblanket, has a comfortable temperature rating down to 2°C (35 °F). Many people have used it comfortably below this temperature, but we think 2°C (35°F) is a reasonable low - comfort temperature for most. It's insulated with 200gsm synthetic silk. You can store it in the included compression sack, but don't keep it compressed for too long to maintain its insulation properties. Always make sure the press studs and draw - cords are in good condition before each use. And if you want to clean it, follow the standard cleaning instructions for synthetic silk items.
