The DD Superlight Hammock Mosquito Net belongs to our DD Superlight Range and perfectly fits the DD Superlight Hammock, providing excellent insect protection. With a compact pack size of 14cm x 10cm x 7cm, it's highly portable. Designed by Dan Spence and Nico Piercy, this mosquito net has no zippers, which significantly reduces its weight. Instead, it uses adjustable elastic and your body weight inside the hammock to tightly hug the hammock, keeping insects out. The very fine mosquito mesh is a great barrier against all insects. It's a breeze to get in and out of the hammock from either side with this net. It's modular and easy to remove when not needed, like during winter camping. You can carry it when required and leave it behind when not. It takes just 2 minutes to attach it to your hammock setup (if not already attached). And if left at one end of the hammock, it can be quickly deployed when needed. A hanging pocket on a thin rope is included. Tie the rope to your hammock suspension and pass it through the mosquito net to keep the net above you and create some space. The hanging pocket has three compartments for storing glasses, phones, or other small items. You can leave it behind to save a little weight. It measures 2.7m x 1.5m, comes in black, and weighs 190g (excluding the pocket). It includes 1 hanging pocket and a stuff sack. Note: Hammock and tarp are sold separately.
Using the DD Superlight Hammock Mosquito Net is easy. First, if it's not already attached, it takes about 2 minutes to add it to your DD Superlight Hammock. Just make sure it fits well around the hammock. Once inside the hammock, the adjustable elastic and your body weight will help the net hug the hammock tightly to keep insects out. To enter or exit the hammock, you can do it quickly from either side. If you want to use the hanging pocket, tie the thin rope to your hammock suspension and pass it through the mosquito net. This will keep the net above you and give you some extra room. You can store small items like glasses or phones in the three - section pocket. When you don't need the mosquito net, like in winter camping, it's easy to remove. You can choose to leave the hanging pocket behind to save a bit of weight. To maintain it, keep it clean and dry. After use, simply pack it into the stuff sack and store it in a cool, dry place. Remember, the hammock and tarp are sold separately, so you'll need to get them if you don't already have them.
