Product Detail

A Bush Cloth is a reusable alternative to toilet paper for drying off after urinating in the backcountry. The front side features a soft suede - like fabric that gently pats you dry. The back is a waterproof layer with an eye - catching pattern, keeping your hands clean and dry. In the backcountry, most people carry regular toilet paper. While the 'shake it off' method works for day trips, it becomes a hygiene problem on longer hikes. Using a Bush Cloth helps you stay clean and reduces toilet paper usage. Kiwi Ultralight Bush Cloths come in a variety of colors and patterns. You can also buy a retractable cable with a mini carabiner separately to attach it to your pack. It weighs 15g with just the mini carabiner or 25g with the optional retractable cable and mini carabiner.

Using the Bush Cloth is easy. First, pee as you normally would. Then, use the soft suede side of the cloth to pat yourself dry. Make sure to hold the waterproof side so your hands stay clean. Remember, this cloth is only for drying urine, not for traditional wiping. After use, hang it from your pack to let it dry. At first, it might seem a bit strange, but you'll soon find it much cleaner than the'shake it off' method. The cloth is made of quick - drying, moisture - wicking fabric and dries fast. The sun's UV rays also help sterilize it. If you don't want the cloth to touch your pack, you can fold it in half using the snaps, but it'll dry slower. On a multi - day trip, rinse the cloth with water every evening and hang it to dry. When you get home, you can throw it in the washing machine on a cold cycle and line - dry it. If it rains and the cloth gets wet, it can still be used like a wet wipe. Just squeeze out the excess water when the sun comes out, and it'll dry quickly.
