Product Detail

These AKU Croda DFS GTX boots are incredibly light, agile, precise, and supremely comfortable. They're the perfect mountaineering shoes for tough climbing and trekking in mixed rock - ice environments. The Kevlar upper paired with the Spider Frame over - injection gives great impact and abrasion resistance, while allowing for excellent movement. The Vibram Croda Litebase sole offers top - notch stability, grip, and precision, even in tricky situations, and can be used with traditional or semi - automatic crampons. The AKU Elica Natural Stride System enhances biodynamic efficiency. The unique AKU Dual Fit System (DFS) lets you adjust the fit for walking and climbing just by using two different lacing systems. An elastic cover stops snow and debris from getting into the upper. The upper is made of ARAMID FIBER FABRIC and has a Spider Frame structure. There's a rubber rand for upper protection. The lining is GORE - TEX® PERFORMANCE COMFORT. The outsole is VIBRAM® CRODA LITEBASE, and the midsole is double - density PU. The lasting board is 6 - 4 MM NYLON + CARBON FIBER + DIE CUT EVA (X STIFF). The footbed is CUSTOM FIT PRO ALUM. Men's boots weigh 650 grams per half - pair and come in UK sizes from 7 to 13.

How to Use: When you start your climb or trek, first adjust the lacing according to your activity. For walking, use the lacing setting that gives you a looser fit for more comfort. When it's time to climb, switch to the tighter lacing mode for better support. You can attach traditional or semi - automatic crampons to the Vibram Croda Litebase sole when you're on icy or slippery surfaces. Note: Make sure to check the laces regularly to ensure they're tight enough and in good condition. Don't use the boots in extremely harsh conditions beyond their design limits. Maintenance: After each use, clean the boots with a soft brush to remove dirt and debris. Let them dry naturally in a well - ventilated area, away from direct heat sources. Every few months, treat the upper with a suitable waterproofing product to keep the GORE - TEX lining effective.
