Using the Singing Rock Bandit Ice Axe: When you're out on a climb, first decide if you need the adze/hammer and the ICE or DRY pick based on the climbing conditions. If it's a mixed climb, you can remove the adze/hammer for a lighter setup. To use it on steep ice or rock, take advantage of the bent shaft to easily hook it in. For soft snow, jam the head into the cracks for support. You can attach a carabiner to the head or spike as needed, and hang it on the PORTER when you're taking a break. The BOXER and RHINO accessories are great for different climbing scenarios, but you can take them off for a lighter ice axe for classic mountaineering. Note: Make sure your hands are dry before gripping the ice axe to avoid slipping. Don't use it for purposes other than climbing as it may cause damage. Maintenance: After each use, clean the ice axe with a dry cloth to remove any ice, snow, or dirt. Check the pick, head, and shaft for any signs of damage. If you notice any cracks or chips, stop using it and get it repaired or replaced. Store the ice axe in a dry place to prevent rusting of the metal parts.
