The Black Diamond Onsight headlamp is a game-changer for climbers. After extensive testing during night climbs on the limestone walls of Mexico, it's designed to give climbers more time on the rocks after sunset. Simplicity and durability are at the core of this headlamp, from its single-button design to its fully submersible IP67 waterproof build. The dual-beam setup offers two essential lighting modes. The Climbing Mode shines 300 lumens of wide, even light directly in front of you, perfect for seeing holds and trails without glare. The Route-Finder Mode adds a powerful, narrow beam for long distances, boosting the total output to 375 lumens to spot anchors and distant trails. With Dual PowerTap™ technology, you can easily switch between modes by touching both sides of the front housing. It's Dual-Fuel compatible, so you can use either the rechargeable BD 1800 Li-ion battery or three standard AAA batteries. The ultra-thin front housing has extra flexibility, allowing you to get close to the wall and still have a great view. And with the highest IP67 waterproof rating, it's dustproof and can be fully submerged, so you don't have to worry about rain. Other features include a perforated elastic headband for breathability, a six-setting 3 LED battery meter, Brightness Memory to keep your chosen brightness, a digital lockout to prevent accidental use, and it comes with alkaline batteries (the Lithium Ion BD 1800 battery is sold separately). It has a max output of 375 lumens, a max burn time of FL1 3 H on the highest setting, and a max distance of 85 m on high. It weighs 135g with batteries and has package dimensions of 11.5 x 10.2 x 12.0 cm.

Using the Black Diamond Onsight headlamp is easy. First, choose your power source - you can use three AAA batteries or the rechargeable BD 1800 Li - ion battery. Once the batteries are in, turn on the light using the single button. To switch between Climbing and Route - Finder Modes, just touch both the right and left sides of the front housing. You can also set your preferred brightness, and the Brightness Memory feature will keep it that way every time you turn the light on and off. When storing the headlamp in your pack or pocket, use the digital lockout feature to avoid accidental activation. In terms of maintenance, since it has an IP67 rating, it's waterproof and dustproof. If it gets submerged, you don't need to do any special maintenance. However, it's a good idea to keep the batteries in good condition. If you're using the rechargeable battery, make sure to charge it regularly. And if you notice the battery meter showing low power, replace the batteries promptly. Also, keep the headband clean to maintain its breathability and performance.
