Product Detail

The ACR HRU-100 HydroFix Hydrostatic Release Kit is an innovative solution for Category 1 EPIRBs. This patented rod system enables the beacon to be smoothly released from a Category 1 bracket when submerged in water at a depth between 1.5 and 4 meters. It's engineered to fit seamlessly with Sea Shelter, Sea Shelter 2, and Sea Shelter 3 brackets, as well as Open Face brackets. One of its key advantages is that it doesn't rely on a battery, blade, or pyrotechnic device for beacon release. This ensures a fast, hassle - free, and reliable release during emergencies. This product is 100% factory - tested for quality assurance. It's easily replaceable and has a compact size of 6.3 x 8.6 x 5.0 cm and a light weight of 93.6 g. Note: This date - stamped product must be replaced every 2 years from the installation date or 4 years from the manufacturing date.

Using the ACR HRU - 100 HydroFix Hydrostatic Release Kit is straightforward. First, make sure it's properly installed on a compatible Category 1 bracket like Sea Shelter, Sea Shelter 2, Sea Shelter 3, or Open Face brackets. When the unit is submerged in water between 1.5 and 4 meters, it will automatically release the beacon. As for maintenance, since it's 100% factory - tested, there's not much you need to do in normal conditions. But remember, it's a date - stamped product. You have to replace it every 2 years from the day you install it or 4 years from the day it was made. If you notice any visible damage, replace it right away to ensure it works reliably in an emergency.
