Product Detail

The rockSteel Autolock by Rock Exotica is crafted in the USA from heat-treated 7/16 diameter steel. Its CNC-machined frame ensures precise fittings and exact tolerances. This carabiner offers a high strength-to-weight ratio, featuring a keylock (snag-free) nose and an extra-wide 30mm gate opening for thicker rigging lines. It's certified to NFPA 'G' Rating and ANSI Z359. The rockSteel carabiner meets ANSI Z359.12 (09) and NFPA G standards. The gate/sleeve can withstand 16kN or 3600 lbs of inward force. With a high strength-to-weight ratio and a snag-resistant keylock nose, it's both impressively strong and lightweight. Specifications include a major strength of 50 kN, minor strength of 16 kN, open strength of 18 kN, 30 mm gate opening, barrel autolock, 125 mm height, 75 mm width, 246 g weight, 11 mm bar diameter, and it's approved to ANSI 359:2009 and NFPA G-Rating.

Using the Rock Exotica Rock Steel Auto Lock Carabiner is easy. First, make sure the gate is open and then attach it to your rigging line or other equipment. The wide 30mm gate opening makes it convenient to fit thicker lines. Once attached, ensure the gate is securely locked to prevent accidental opening. When using, always check the carabiner for any signs of damage like cracks or excessive wear. Don't exceed its strength limits, such as the 16kN or 3600 lbs for the gate/sleeve inward force. To maintain the carabiner, keep it clean and dry. After use, wipe it down with a dry cloth. If it gets dirty, you can use a mild soap and water to clean it, then dry it thoroughly. Store it in a cool, dry place to prevent rust and corrosion.
