Product Detail

The Tanu Dive and Rescue Knife is an incredibly versatile and tough knife, perfect for all saltwater escapades. It comes with a corrosion-resistant, blunt-tipped blade. The blade has a brushed stainless-steel finish, a serrated edge, and a line cutter. Its rubberized handle offers a firm grip and has a finger stop for extra safety. The knife also includes a mountable sheath and can be paired with an optional B.C.D. Adaptor Plate for quick access underwater. This knife is designed for both durability and versatility. Its full tang blade, made of 304 stainless-steel, can withstand the harshness of saltwater. The blunt tip won't puncture inflatables, and the sharp straight and serrated edges with the line cutter make it a multi-functional tool. The rubberized handle not only provides a secure hold but also allows you to use its rounded end as a tank banger for underwater communication. The included quick-release sheath has a removable belt clip that's webbing compatible, or you can use the lanyard hole to tether it to your gear. It's also available as a kit with a B.C.D. Adaptor Plate, zip ties, and mounting bolts to attach it to a knife mount or inflator hose. The blade is 3 inches long and 0.125 inches thick. The overall length of the knife is 8.5 inches. The handle is made of thermoplastic rubber grip and acetal, available in gray or navy green. The sheath is made of acetal with a spring stainless-steel belt clip, and the B.C.D. Adaptor is made of acetal. The knife weighs 4.62 oz, and the overall weight with the sheath is 6.58 oz.

Using the Tanu Dive and Rescue Knife is easy. For normal cutting tasks, just hold the rubberized handle firmly. The finger stop will keep your hand in place and prevent any accidental slips. You can use the straight edge for general cutting and the serrated edge for tougher materials. The line cutter is great for cutting ropes. If you need to communicate underwater, tap the rounded end of the handle on your tank. To carry the knife, you can use the quick - release sheath. Attach it to your belt using the removable belt clip or use the lanyard hole to tie it to your gear. If you have the B.C.D. Adaptor Plate kit, follow the instructions to attach the knife to your scuba gear. When it comes to maintenance, after each use in saltwater, rinse the knife thoroughly with fresh water. This will prevent salt from corroding the blade. Dry it completely before storing it. Make sure to check the blade for any signs of damage regularly. If you notice any chips or dullness, it might be time to sharpen it. And always keep the knife out of reach of children.
