Product Detail

Smith's 6-inch Diamond Tri-Hone is an ideal solution for sharpening various knives, including pocket knives, hunting and fishing knives, kitchen knives, and cutting tools of all sizes. It comes with two diamond sharpening stones having an interrupted surface, a unique Micro-Tool Sharpening Pad, and a Natural Arkansas stone for perfecting and polishing the blade edge to a razor-sharp finish. The 6 x 1 5/8 inches color-coded and labeled stones consist of a coarse diamond stone, a fine diamond stone, and a Natural Arkansas stone. All three stones are mounted on a triangular base with handles at the end for easy rotation and clear identification. The stones are secured by a sturdy, non-skid stand with a trough at the bottom to collect any excess honing solution. A sharpening angle guide and a 1-ounce bottle of premium honing solution are also included. - The coarse diamond stone quickly restores a sharp edge on dull or damaged blades. - The fine diamond stone is great for general sharpening. - The Natural Arkansas stone polishes the edge to a razor-sharpness. - The interrupted surface of the diamond stones speeds up the sharpening process. - The labeled stone base makes it easy to identify each stone. - Handles on the stone base simplify stone rotation. - The non-skid stand with a trough ensures a clean and mess-free sharpening experience. - A sharpening guide, honing solution, and care instructions are all provided. - The 6-inch stones can be used on knives of all sizes. - The Micro-Tool Sharpening Pad is perfect for knife tips and small cutting tools. Abrasives: Yellow Diamond (325)/ Orange Diamond (750)/ Arkansas Stone (1,000 - 1,200)

Using the Smiths 6-Inch Diamond Tri-Hone Sharpening System is easy. First, choose the appropriate stone based on your knife's condition. If the blade is very dull or damaged, start with the coarse diamond stone. For general sharpening, use the fine diamond stone, and finish with the Natural Arkansas stone for a super sharp edge. Pour a little of the included honing solution on the stone. Hold the knife at the correct angle (you can use the included sharpening angle guide for this). Then, gently move the knife back and forth across the stone in a smooth motion, applying light pressure. When using the Micro-Tool Sharpening Pad, be extra careful as it's for small areas like the knife tip. After sharpening, clean the stones and the stand. The trough at the bottom of the stand catches the excess honing solution, so just empty it and wipe the stand clean. Store the sharpening system in a dry place. Avoid dropping the stones as they can break. And make sure to keep the honing solution away from children and pets. If you follow these steps, your Smiths sharpening system will serve you well for a long time.
